LUMSUM01 variant - Not recognising Re-connection day

Hi All,

Can you please let me know if you have faced the below issue for fixed/flat charges in your project:

Previous periodic read - 31.01.2012

Disconnection read (MR reason = 13) - daes as below:

Actual MR date -> 11.02.2012

MR date (billing relevant) -> 10.02.2012

When the site is disconnected, we are also creating a 02 interim bill so that the period 01.02.2012 to 10.02.2012 is billed.

When the site is billed for period 01.02.2012 to 10.02.2012, fixed/flat charges are billed till 10.02.2012 which is good and working fine.

Reconnection Scenario:

Re-connection date (MR reason - 13) -> dates as below

Actual MR date - 21.02.2012

MR date (billing relevant) - 21.02.2012

Next periodic read date - 28.02.2012

So disconnected period is from 11.02.2012 to 20.02.2012

When we bill the next period from 11.02.2012 to 28.02.2012, LUMSUM01 variant does not recognise 11.02.2012 date as the reconnection date and does not calculate the fixed/flat charge for 11.02.2012 day.

Please note that i have my 'Disconnection' flag config checked at the Billing schema level means LUMSUM01 should correctly prorate my disconnected period. However it is not working for reconnected day.

Please let me know if you have faces this issue in your previous projects and how did you managed to solve this?

Is the date 11.02.012 correctly mentioned or is it 21.02.2012. Also, could you please let me know as to where u mentioned the Disconnected Period customizing(Which field in the Schema)..

Hi Sitakant,

Yes the date is correctly mentioned as 11.02.2012.

My billing period is from 11.02.2012 to 28.02.2012. However my Re-connection occured on 21.02.2012.

Hence my period 11.02 to 20.02 is disconnected period and 21.02.to 28.02 is non-disconnected period.

When i bill my flat charge using LUMSUM01 variant, it should include 21.02 date as well since that is the re-connection day.

Billing Schema setting - In the Billing Schema, we have ticked checkbox 'Disconnection periods not valuated' means disconnection periods are not considered for LUMSUM01 variant which is used for flat/fixed charges.
