EHP5 upgrade on ECC 6.0 servers

Hi Experts,

We have successfully upgraded our ECC 6.0 server to EHP5. In the end of up grdation the successful completion message poped up but in system status the component version is still showing ECC6.0.

Please help us to understand it.

Hi,

it is correct that the main component is still shown as ECC 6.0. But if you check the detailed component list you will see that all ECC components that were updated to EHP5 have now a release level of 605 instead of 600. Your SAP Basis component should also be 702 instead of 700 or 701.

Point is the system info does not show directly that EHP5 was installed for ECC 6.0. So in order to check you must use the detailed list.

Yes in detailed list all components have been upgraded to their respective level like basis is 702 but why its not reflecting in main component.

Before we upgraded our system to EHP4 at the time successful completion of upgrdation reflected in main component.

I doubt that it was different before the upgrade. I have so far not seen that the respective EHP level has any impact on the main component shown under System -> Status. It's only shown within the detailed view.

As you can see above in an EHP4 system the main component is still ECC 6.0. But the detailed view states that the EHP is installed.

Hence , the system is ERP 6.0 EHP5

I have verified in my system too , the system status just shows SAP ECC 6.0 , hence there is little to worry .
