Pre Request for Business Objects Visual Intelligence 1.0

We are in process of implementing Visual Intelligence 1.0?! What are the pre request for BO VI1.0?! Is 64 bit OS required? Also to add we should create universe in the Backend?!

Hello Ramesh,

If you browse through the documents in this Forum section you will find plenty of demos on Visual Intelligence. There is no need for Universes in the backend. Here some more information on the pre-requisites which I retrieved from the PAM:

Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64-bit OS only

HANA 1.0 SP3 R26 Direct Connection (JDBC and SDK)

Windows
2.5 GHz dual core CPU
4 GBytes RAM
50 GBytes Hard Disk
1280 x 720 screen resolution

Visual Intelligence using Sybase IQ (c:\Program Files\SAP Visual Intelligence\IQ\) ?

Hi Mikhail,

The IQ database is used to temporarily store data during runtime of Visual Intelligence.

That's needed because we are supporting more than connecting to HANA, but also using CSV and XLS files. And soon also connections to SQL databases.
