Hi all.
I hope this is the right forum.
I'm trying to send a mail from R/3. I configured the sapconnect and all the necessary things, but i'm experiencing some problem: i'm not able to send mail external to my own domain.
SMTP is configured to contact my mail server (exchange 2003).
if i send to lorenzo@mydomain.com it works fine; when i try to contact lorenzo@externaldomain the trace report (SOST transaction) show this message:
Status txt No delivery to , as recipient unknown
Info from Node 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for lorenzo@TI
Message Number 802.
Does Anyone know how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for the help!
Lorenzo
Lorenze,
This is something your ms-exchange administrators need to configure.
After a standard Exchange2003 installation the SMTP server doesn't allow relaying (the use of the mailserver for forwarding mails to other mailserver (externaldomain).
The SMTP server only allows delivery of mails from the domain for which is configured itself.
On exchange you can configure the mailrelaying to be allowed for the sap-server (by ip-adres or hostname).
Best regards,
Alwin
