warning message to error message

we faced some proplem  like this  i created some of class characteristics as a required becase while doing GR i want to enter  some values then only system will be allow  GR ......

my query is if i maintained  characteristics as a required while doing GR system will show as a warning message  instead of warning message  we want Error message  in this case we cannot change any thing in se91 but i changed  in SPRO batch management define attribute of system message  instead of W to E but while doing GR it is showing  warning message only   kindly update me if any body have idea

In configuration have you done this?

Logistics - General-->Batch Management-->Creation of New Batches-->Batch Valuation-->Valuation for Goods Movement in Inventory Management-->Activate Batch Classification for Goods Movements in IM

Fro each material movement you need it for, set the option to classify batches to:

2 Classification only in foregr.for mand.charac. (all batches)
