PI 7.3 new client and connectivity

Dear All,

I have certain querries regarding SAP-PI 7.3 Ehp1 system.

1.By default in the standard installation of SAP-PI 7.3 with dedicated system, 001 is taken as the default SAP-PI client.
On what conditions and scenarios , the creation of the new PI client apart from 001 in the same system is done i.e. copying 001 to 002. Client 001 will

not act as Integration server.

2.I have a requirment where the client is having a SAP-PI 7.3 and trying to integrate with other customer where they also have SAP-PI.
In this case , what are the pre-requisite for direct SAP-PI to SAP-PI connectivity.Is this a fair integration solution?

as far as I remember 001 should not be used - a client copy should be made to some other client

it's a standard thing - you can use XI adapter to do that - the prerequisite would be SLD (TS,BS) only
