Language inheritance Mode in MDS.ini

Hi SDNers,

We have currently upgraded our system to latest patch of MDM SP08.

Our repository is multilingual configured where we have all the languages inheriting from secondary language.

We have a text field say Description which is Multilingual enabled and is required field.

Now scenario is when a requestor logs into one language say DE and creats a record,WF gets triggered which check if all mandatory fields are maintained.

Validation and Assignemnt are executed in EN language internaly.

Value in Description field is maintained in DE and all other language inherits the value in DE and show up in red color(due to secondary inheritance).

This record fails Mandatory check.For this we have added a parameter in  MDS.ini file which is:

Language Inheritance Mode for validations=2

Language Inheritance Mode for Assignments=2

And has restarted the server.

So Idealy record created in DE language should pass through validation after addition of the above mentioned parameter but it is not.

Has anyone ever faced such situation or is I am missing out something.Please suggest.

Hi ,

It was a patch issue and has been fixed in the latest patch.
