Problem with NWBC for a webdynpro application

I have a webdynpro application in which I have a normal function module to perform a BDC. Everything works fine if am running the browser version of the WDA.

We hooked the WDA to NWBC. The updates that are supposed to happen are not happening now.

Can I call a normal function module in my application when it is being used in NWBC? Is that the problem or something else?

there is no restriction to use normal FM on NWBC, check with other cases.
