Hi,
When I try to start & then stop the saposcol in one of managed system, it does not work. See the messages. What is solution?
There is no saposcol process running.
ps -ef|grep saposcol
sapadm 819206 1372304 0 13:44:37 pts/0 0:00 grep saposcol
While starting:
/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/saposcol -l pf=/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/host_profile

can't kill process 385218.

Hi Rajnish,
as per the above log, states that SAPOSCOL is already running.
Did you checked the status form ST06 in R3.
you can see whether it is running or not by saposcol -status
if you want to kill the saposcol, later you need to clear the shared memory too.
Please read this sap note, https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=548699 (FAQ on saposcol) gives you the steps for clearing shared memory, killing the process. starting back the saposcol
