Gap while printing text using Smart Style

Former Member

Hi Experts,

While printing a description in the smartform, I have asssigned the description to a smartstyle Paragraph format P1 -Arial 10.

There's a small gap in the starting of the description.

It displays as:

   Text Item 1 Text Item2....

Text Item 2 Text Item 3...

Instead of:

Text Item 1 Text Item2...

Text Item 2 Text Item 3..

Can you please tell me how to remove that paragraph gap .

Thanks,

Aneesha.

Hi Aneesha ,

   try like this,

<P5>Text Item 1<C></>.

When you specify as character for that text the unwanted space will be eliminated.

Hi Aneesha ,

I hope you will be using a smartstyle to display this.

Create a new paragraph element name as you wish E.g P5 - Make it left aligned with respect to the margin.

In the Smartform

use the text element like this.

Use change editor not the word one.

<P5>Text Item 1</>

Hi Aneesha,

Check if you have given any value in the "Indent first line" for the paragraph..

or it may be possible that there is space along with the actual text..

Hi All ,

Thanks for the replies.

I have created a paragraph format with "justified". Well, Left Alligned also gave the same problem.

Harshad,

All margins and Indents are zero.

Im not understanding what's the problem.

Thanks,

Aneesha.

Interesting :-)...

Can you check if your Text element itself has a Space :-).. OR just for testing.. try Text Item2 in place of Text Item 1 for testing pupose

There's no space ..I have checked for that already..:).

Whatever the text is...its starting like a paragraph with space in the first line.:(
