Hi

The answer for these terms are linked to the Product Master

The source for the stock figures is normally an R3 (or any other OLTP system)

If you look at the product master -> demand tab> available stocks tab you can see the settings that decide the different available stock types that are (unrestricted/inspection/ blocked) available for PPDS and CTM and taken into account in net reqmt calc and pegging

The IMG has a list of various stock types.

Pl check the CIF for the types of Stocks that are integrated between R3 and APO

SNP product horizon - the horizon in which SNP(or CTM) does not plan production(planned orders). this is in order to divide the reponsibility of prodn between PPDS and SNP.

PPDS horizon is the horizon within which PPDS planned orders are created/changed/deleted. Ideally SNP starts where PPDS ends. So if you dont enter a value for PPDS horizon(or enter 0) it will automatically consider the SNP horizon as the PPDS horizon.

Also, Its possible that the PPDS horion and the SNP horizon overlap. You can get better F1 help on these topics from the Productmaster SNP2 and the PPDS tabs
