environment variable RFC_GUI_FIX_CP frontend

Hi cracks,

my question is, how to set the environment variable RFC_GUI_FIX_CP on the frontend. I have a Dump occuring while performing eCATT-Scripts via RFC, and the solution hint is :

Please check to see if the environment variable RFC_GUI_FIX_CP = 1 on the Front-end system. If this is the case, and the error very  frequently occurs, as a workaround you can change the value of this variable to 0.

I tried to set it in the SAP-GUI-options - SAP-Logon-options - SAP-GUI-Start-options, but that does not work. I am using 720 Final Release, Version 7200.3.11.1074, PL 11.

Does someone know, how to set this value?

Kind Regards

Ferenc Tabori

Hello Rerenc,

This would be set in the OS environment variables, not SAPGUI.

Other messages reveal that the issue could be solved by updating your disp+work kernel patch to

a higher level.

Hey Jude,  ()

thank you for your fast reply! Your answer ist correct, it has to be set in the OS on the frontend, where the scripts are processed. I will check out, if it works and if not, i'll care about the kernel...

That helped a lot,

kind regards

Ferenc
