SLD problem

Former Member

Hi all,

we made a fatal mistake on our SLD and we lost all the data (technical systems, software catalog, ...) !!

so my question is : is there any restore process concerning the SLD data ? or can we export all SLD data regularly, save them, and re-import them in case of problem ?

Thank in advance,

Eric.

Eric,

I think you misunderstood about the back up i said,. backup what i meant is from SLD>Administration->content>Export

With which you can take the back of your SLD descriptions and all CIM instances. which inturn stores this in the XML format.

Hope now it's clear about the "back up" what i meant.:)

Cheers,

Kumar

Hi Eric,

I agree with your option of taking regular backups and import it whenever it is necessary.

Hi Kumar,

i'm sure of doing backups of the SLD and imports but my question is:

is it a possibility or not to backup a SLD system ?

or do i need to use the exports tool of the SLD to make backups ?

and last question: what about the import tool ?

No no, i haven't got a problem of deployement and or use of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio !!

What we have got is a problem of SLD: we crashed it and we want to know how to restore the content of the SLD and if there are some standard processes to save SLD data.
