Hi,

Please follow the below steps

  1. Login to Import Manager.
  2. select the Repository in which you want to load the data
  3. Select language
  4. Enter the user credentials

  1. Click Next
  2. You will see the following screen
  3. In this screen select the following
  4. Type of Input file (Excel/Access/Delimited text/Fixed width/Oracle database/Port/SQL Server/XML/XML Schema)
  5. Based upon the Type of file selected, the respective parameters will become active and the rest will be grayed out.
  6. Eg: If you select Port as Type, then Port property will become active
  7. Select the Remote system from which the data is coming.
  8. In this case I have selected the Type of input file as Excel, and hence I have to provide the file path in the property File name

  1. Click finish.
  2. You will see the following screen

  1. Select the Source and destination values
  2. Source = The excel sheet in which you have data to be Imported
  3. Destination = The Table in which you want to Import the data.
  4. Go to Map Fields/Values Tab
  5. Map the Source fields to the Corresponding destination values
  6. Perform the value mapping if any(Value mapping is required if you have mapped a lookup value Field mapping grid)

  1. Go to match records Tab and select the matching field(Unique field based on which you want to Import the data) as shown below
  2. Select the Import action (Create/Skip/Update Null values etc)

  1. Go to the Import status tab (This will tell if the file is ready to Import or if it needs any value Mapping
  2. If the status shows ready to Import click on the Import icon on the Top right of the menu.

You will get a pop up which says if the Import was successfull..
