Until now i worked only with regular projects when i created webdynpro applications.
Should i switch to dc type?

You should switch to DC if you have a NWDI running. This gives you the possibility to word on the same project with more developers.
Also, using DC's gives you the possibility to use components from other DC's (also local DC's I think).
If you don''t have a NWDI right now, you can keep on using simple projects or DC's and later on migrate these into NWDI (although I haven't tried this yet...).
