Dear Experts

There is case where we are facing problem in reversal of MIGO

We have done MIGO against PO, the material was there in quality. Then quality end user posted the material in Block stock due to wrong MIGO.

Now we bring the material back In Quality inspection by activating 08 Inspection type & by doing 349 movement type in MB1B for the Material.

Then Material is In Quality inspection which is ideal condition for doing the reversal of MIGO. but when we go for cancellation of MIGO, system is throwing

following Error.

Following things are correctly entered by us.

1. PO No

2. Document Date

3. Batch of material.

Message no. M7021

Diagnosis

Shortfall below the specified stock level or quantity amounting to 4,896.552 PC.

System Response

If the message is an error message (E), the above is not allowed.

If the message is a warning message (W), the system will allow your input, but the warning is intended to prevent you entering a wrong quantity.

Procedure

In the case of a warning message, check the quantity entered.

In the case of an error message, change the quantity or terminate processing.

You should have cancelled the material document as soon as it was posted to block stock.

Now that you have made 08 inspection lot & bought back to QI ,for reversal of original document will refer to stock in block stock  & not QI.

You have to post stock back to block stock & then reverse original document.

What will be the Procedure to Cancel the MIGO, if we post the stock back to the Block Stock?

In our case while doing MIGO reverse we are getting Stock Type in Quality inspection.

If quality user has posted material to block stock through inspection lot -best procedure woud have been like ,use SAP note 175842 to bring material back  to QI instead of 08 option.then cancel the 101 mvt type material document.

Now that when 08 in created Try to do MBST against material document and select stock type as "block stock" ..check

Hi Gopal

You cannot cancel the original mateial document. The reason behind is that inspection lot whose quanity is posted from to quality to anwhere(unrestriced, block etc) is unique to that mateial docoment so while doing the cacellation procedure SAP system searches the quanity in relevant inspeciton lot but it is not present so it throws an error.

If you really want to canecl that mateial document the you have to get the stock back into that inspection  lot . It is only possible by applying the note as Sujit Suggested( UD reveresal and Stock Posting Reversal).

Otherwise look for any work around instead of cancellation.
