" Bad version number in .class file" While opening ESR/ID

Hi,

I'm getting the below error while opening the ESR/ID of PI 7.3 system.

"Bad version number in .class file. See log for more details"

I'm using JDK 1.5 update 22. Could you please update me is this because of the JAVA version which we are using.

Hi,

For PI 7.3, use 1.6+ version of Java. You can get it for instance here:

This is your jvm version issue. Check whether you have more than one Java version available in your system. If so delete the old version. As you know PI 7.3  works on 64 bit OS  use jre 6 atleast. Using your jvm version only your java webstart (client)  will connect to the 7.3 server.
