My company is currently having an issue tracking the delivery of orders. We outsource our transportation using local trucking companies who are not affiliated with the customer. As a result, we do not receive confirmation of the order until the truck has returned to the start. This can be a problem when deliveries are made sometimes 4 days away i.e. no confirmation until 8+ days after. Are there any easily implementable systems such as RF scanners that could be used with SAP? The other consideration as well is theft by the trucking company so the less hardware the better.
