Printout gets changed of a Z report by giving Format Type X_65_1024/4

Hi,

I am taking the printout of a classical Z report list, which has large number of columns.

While I am taking the printout with format type X_65_255 the print is coming correct, however all the columns are not fitting into the page of A3 size.

So I used the format type X_65_1024/4;   in this case all the columns are coming but the problem is with the special characters (ex: I have some 'THAI' language characters in my column header),  these are getting converted into some junk characters.

This is happening for all custom reports wherever the special characters have been used.

Please let me know any feasible solution.

Thanks...

Seher

Hello,

Have you used the correct device type like THSAPWIN or SWINCF?

Hi David,

We have used device type 'ZTHSAPWI'  which uses the character set 'THSAPWIN'.

and assigned format 'X_65_1024/4 to this device type. Can you please tell me what else do I need to check?

Hi David,

I uploaded this snote in my server.

However, it shows me the Implementation status as 'Cannot be Implemented'.

If I am not wrong, it means that the higher version is already there in the system.

Please guide.

Thanks

Seher

Hi Sultana,

There is no correction in the SAP note 1622034 so you can implement via SNOTE.

What you need to do is download and use the device type in the Tab Attachment of the note.

Thanks for the advice David.

Adding Device types had many ifs and buts in the system.., with Kernel etc.

However, we made an exact copy of Format X_65_255 into a new one,

with columns extending to 1024.

This solved our purpose.
