Hi,
Already installed NW Trial version 7.02 in windows xp and gets following error when trying to install SAPgui:
Program is starting... Please wait!
Path: D:\DOCUME~1\SAP\LOCALS~1\Temp\sapinst_exe.2780.1338208780\\jre\bin\java.exe
For the requested processing mode java policy
files within the used SAP JVM are needed.
Specify the environment variable JCE_POLICY_ZIP and restart.
See also SAP note 1238121.
Exit status of child: 10
What's wrong?
thanks
stanislas
Download the JCE policy file using the SAP note
Once done , set the environment vairiable JCE_POLICY_ZIP to the path of the JCE policy file.
Restart your installation.

Hi Stanislas,
You download the policy file as below. Do not unzip it, and define the environment variable JCE_POLICY_ZIP under Advanced settings. I can't remember which JVM you will be using in the 7.02 trial, but I would try the 6.1 version and work down from there !!
NOTE: The purist may say these is the incorrect JCE Policy files, but they provide a higher security than the ones available through http://service.sap.com/swdc - ALL SAP software will work with these, but not all SAP software will work with the weaker policy files
For SAP JVM 4.1:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/archive-139210.html > Java Platform Technologies > Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 1.4.2
For SAP JVM 5.1:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/archive-139210.html > Java Platform Technologies > Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 5.0.
For SAP JVM 6.1:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html - Under Downloads goto to section: Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 6.
