Hi Sumanth,

I am a little bit late. Trying to find exactly what you needed I've found the answer in a different thread.

Go to T.Code KAH3 and select the Menu option Extras -> Check and help

functions -> Find in group -> Cost and now enter the Cost element. System

will display the list of Cost element Groups, where this cost element is

being used.

Hi,

Check table SETLEAF, there in field set class=0102 and VALFROM= "your cost element" and execute.

You will find the corresponding Cost element group in field SETNAME.

Hope it will solve your prob.

Hope this helps

Hi Flaviano, Shishir, Paul

Thanks for your responses. This query was raised long back and we got to know how to find the same at that time itself.. only thing is I did not update that here.

Actually, we followed the way as suggested by Shishir. But, the other way is also good enough to identify the same.

Hi,

You can use table SETLEAF. In this table insert cost element in value setclass=0102. You will get all cost element groups where the cost element is used.

Hi Mahendra,

Thank you for your response.

In SETLEAF we do not have option for using Cost element, we can only see the Cost element groups by using the setclass as you suggested. Is there any FM by which we can view this details?

Hi Sumanth,

SETLEAF is the table where you can see the cost element assigned to groups.

input the set class "0102' and CE group (Set Name) which you have picked from KAH3 and execute.

There is no field available in table to input directly the cost element number in order to fetch the data. Here it is indirect method to get the required values.

if you so concerned about that then you go for cusotmizing the Ztable to view your required data without going round and round.

Hello Tony,

Thanks for your response.

I did not get what exactly you wanted me to see here in FS00. I cant see anything related to Cost element group in this. Is there any table which links cost element and its group.

In general G/L and cost element will be same as well as Cost Element Group and Account Group.

if you pass the G/L (Cost element) in FS00 transaction you can find the Account Group under Control in Chart of account

or use Tcode KAH3 to list the cost elements under any specific group

Following tables will be useful (Account Group)

Cost element text table : CSKU

T077X Account Group Names (Table T077D)    ----  Customer Account Group text

T077Y Account Group Names (Table T077K)    ----   Vendor Account Group  text

T077Z Account Group Names (Table T077S)    ----  G/L Account Group text

Hi Tony,

Thank you for your inputs.

Are you sure that, the cost element group is same as Account Group? Because, when I checked the table T077S as suggested by you, it displayed some account groups, when I checked the a Account group in KAH3 for cross checked, I got a message saying that, the Group doesnot exists.

Please let me know if I need to check in a proper way.

Hi Sumanth,

This is something you need to get input from your FICO consultants. I am not the right person to explain but just for info;

  • the G/L accounts are grouped as Account Groups.
  • all G/L will not have cost elements. (means all account groups will not be available as cost element groups)
  • in general the cost element group and account group will be same

Hi,

Extract Data from Cost element groups form CO to Excel

Extract Data from FI Account Groups to Excel

use functionality in Excel =VLOOKUP AND CHECK THE SAME WITH REFERENCE TO GL ACCOUNT.

You will get answer.
