Hi,
we are using NetWeaver 7.02 for our ECC system and I thought the SAP GUI for HTML would automatically use the SAP Portal theme.
However, it does still only use the CSS files of the SAP Tradeshow Plus theme which is installed on the ECC itself.
Do I have to set up any specific parameters in the Portal or in the ECC system?
Thanks a lot for any help and Best Regards
Philipp
Hi Philipp,
I have the same problem! Have you solved your issue?
As I suppose, we need to use ITS Theme Generator for the Internet Transaction Server (ITS). ITS performs 1:1 mapping from SAP screen fields (for example, text or input fields) to SAP GUI for HTML fields.
Look this link, for example
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ep60sp2/helpdata/en/af/807f72a20d11d5b580006094b9451c/frameset.htm
But right now I cannot try to use ITS Theme Generator because i cannot find designer-x.car file. It must be installed on an ITS instance. It provides the services sap_preview and sap_generate for generating the ITS style sheets. Have you met this file?
I will be grateful for any Ideas!
Regards,
Dmitriy.

Hi Dmitriy,
no, so far we have not solved our problem.
I also do not think that you need the ITS Theme Generator (if you have version 7.02 or 7.3), since the Webgui automatically should use the Portal theme from that version on.
I think I have to open up an OSS message.
Thanks for all for the links, but they did not solve the issue so far.
Best Regards
Philipp
Hi Philpp,
What Kernel version(s) are you using on the ECC side?
Your statement is correct in not needing the theme generator
See the following SAP HELP page which I believe is relevant to your release
Theme Generator for the Internet Transaction Server
"
Note
You do not need to generate an ITS stylesheet if you are using SAPGUI for HTML of a system running SAP enhancement package 2 for SAP Netweaver 7.0 or SAP Composition Environment 7.2. The portal user’s theme is automatically applied in these versions.
End of the note.

Hi Philipp,
Look for SAP note 1637287.
It must be helpful for us.
"Support of customer-specific themes. This was not possible in the SAP GUI for HTML up to now. Own themes can be loaded using the URL parameters sap-cssurl and sap-cssversion."
Right now I'm trying to set URL parameters. Did you tried to go this way?
You should also look for SAP note 1446099. There are few words about SAP GUI for HTML. Maybe we should try to update portal styles to the highest Support Package.

Dmitriy.
