Hi Experts,

Im in the middle of post installation of Solution manager and stuck at steps : perform basic operation (Set up administrator). When i call transaction SOLMAN_SETUP, it prompt me to key in the password and once the password given it show this error message.

I suspect this error is all about FQDN, but i dont know how to set it in Solution manager. This is my second installation, in my last installation, when i call transaction SOLMAN_SETUP it supposed to prompt me to create SOLMAN ADMIN user.

Can anybody please guide me on this?

Regards

Railey

Hi,

Please check if below profile parameter is set

icm/host_name_full

Use Tcode RZ10 to set the same. Also the same should have been set before opening up solman_setup transaction. Please check the configuration guide which mentions the prerequisites for running solman_setup.

make fqdn entry of solution manager, in solution manager host itself.

Goto RZ10 -> Utilities -> Import profiles -> Of active servers.

After that select instance profile and go to extended maintenance.

From your posted RZ11 value, your host is not FQDN yet.

Please refer to my post before about how to set it.

Shahril,

It is imperative that your browser access the FQDN for solution manager.

Ensure that your OS level has the full hostname in /etc/services file, and also in your SAP instance profile. Please check http://help.sap.com/saphelp_tm80/helpdata/en/e0/a4b5dc81c242f3922e063def7b075a/content.htm for how to set FQDN in SAP profile.

Then make sure you add the hostname also in your hosts windows file.
