Solman_Setup: Cannot get the Logical Port

Former Member

Dear gurus,

I'm in the middle of initial configuration of solman_setup in phase 6.3: Connect diagnostic agent.

All ports, web services have been published as instructed (ping web services were all successful).

SLD is up and running (SMGW shows complete services). Here's the error when I tried to press "Get Agents":

Error Cannot get the Logical Port for Web Service CO_DIAGSTP_WS_AGT_SMDAGENT_MON, please complete the Setup

Error Web service configuration issue on host and port protocol : logical port name

Any ideas?
Regards,

Hi,

I am unable to view your diagrams. can you attach it again.

But as of my experience on 7.1, if you installed diagagnt and registered in central SLD or manauly, you can connect the diagg agent to solman without any issues

Please check out http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/Diagnostics+Agents

And also make sure for authorisation of all the users involved in solman_setup.

Thanks,

Jansi

step 6.3 has error: Cannot get the Logical Port for Web Service CO_DIAGSTP_WS_AGT_SMDAGENT_MON, please complete the Setup

Web service configuration issue on host and port protocol : logical port name

I've read all documentations about diagnostic agent, but state no error as I encountered.

Hi Lori,

Can you do the following ot see if this helps.

In the step 5.3 'Creating of logical ports', switch back the status
of the activity to "Execute", and ONLY THEN press the button "Execute
All" or "Execute Selected" to execute the task.

Kind Regards,

Roland

Hi,

I encountered the same problem and I proceeded as mentioned by Roland:

re-create logical ports in step 5.3 : choose Execute All and pushbutton.

Verify in sm37 or sm66 if the job SMSETUP:AGS_SISE_JAVA_LOGP is running. when the job ends successfully, modify “execution status”  to “manuallyPerformed” and save.

Back to phase 6.3, select your SLD and Choose Get Agents:

Agent available must appear then choose connect.
