Hi
Background/Situation:
We have a three-tier PI landscape: DEV, QAS and PRD - all three PI-systems have a local SLD, meaning that the PI-systems are using their own SLD's in runtime.
We also have one central SLD, which contains all 'technical system' for all our SAP systems. These 'technical systems' are all forwarded to the local SLD og all three PI systems.
We want to transport SLD content, like business systems and software components, using CTS+ and therefore have a strategy that ALL PI-SLD objects (like Business systems and SW components) should be created in the DEV SLD.
So far so good, but...
When we then want to create a 'business system' for e.g. a QAS-ERP system in the DEV-SLD, then we need to specify the 'Integration Server' of this Business System and this integration Server should be the QAS Integration Server. but in the DEV-SLD - only the DEV Integration Server exists (are registered)!
Question;
1) How can we get the DEV-SLD to know the QAS 'Integration Server' (and PRD 'Integration Server')
2) Is this a fundamental wrong approach ?

Hi Tom,
Why don't you create business systems in the local SLDs? As business systems are different for DEV, QAS and PRD systems. As far as SWC is concerned, you can create in DEV and transport it to other systems via CTS+.
Thanks & Regards,
Samir

Hi
Thanks for your answer. It will certainly work (technically) that way, but we tries to achieve the following:
In a regulated environment (compliance), we want to give developers (PI-developers) access to only the DEV environment. QAS- and PRD-environments should only receive changes through (approved) transports.

Hi Tom,
can you try executing RZ 70 in your qaulity system and provide Dev system details but i never done that.
Post your messages in Netweaver Admin forums .
