CI Splitting on Dual stack

hi.

i have a ci+db on one server and it is a abap+java dual stack. Now i want  to split ci from this server and just have the db run on this machine.

1. How do i handle java stack when i split?

2. what is the the recommended way to split ci from the current system.

SAP released a split tool a good while ago... You can find a good overview on this Blog.

thank you juan. i did see this earlier. i understand this tool can split abap and java.

how do i split ci and db?

You do a Homogeneous System Copy and Install the CI in on a host and the DB in another host.
