Precommitment after SRM SC

Hi Experts,

SRM 7 EHP 1

ECC 6 EHP 3

Classic Scenario

In ECC, currently Funds Management and Investment Management is active. In ECC, when a PR is created a Precommitment document is posted in FM. When PO is created a Commitment document is posted in ECC.

We are enabling SC in classic scenario and follow on document is PO (after SC approval) in ECC.

Please let me know -

1. Is it possible to post a precommitment document in FM once SC is created in standard SRM?

2. If yes, what are the touchpoints where configurations will need to be done to handle this?

Hi Amish,

The Commitment item can be posted only after approval of SC.  This is the std behavior of SRM.  If you want post a commitment after of ordering of SC,  you have to go for development.

My question was related to precommitment document posting in Fund Management.

Is is possible in SRM Standard Classic scenario to create a precommitment document in FM upon creation/ordering/approval of SC?

FYI - SRM PPS supports Precommitment posting in FM upon SC ordering.

Hi Amish,

When you order the SC the Pre-commitment will only be posted after the approval be done (the sc is released). This is the standard. No other ways are supported without enhancement.

In a standard classic scenario (without PPS scenario) will a precommitment document be posted in FM (Funds Management module) after SC approval?

We do not have PPS scenario - hence is precommitment possible?
