Hi All,
If I give SAP_ALL authorization to a user, then I am able to create an OLAP connection using CMC or BW system. However, due to security reasons, I would not like to give SAP_ALL to any user in our system.
So, are there a set of authorizations that we can give to that user to create OLAP connections or do we have to use SAP_ALL ?
Regards,
Shashank Raj.
Hi,
Try creating a copy of role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO and assign it to the user.
By default this role does not include the function groups RSOLAP_BICS_*. You may need to add them to the RFC access authorization object.

Sonia

In ST01 , enable authorization check trace and run the transaction to create OLAP connection .
Once done switch off authorization check trace in ST01 and analyze the trace file to figure out the authorization objects.
