Hello!
We have setup Afaria 7 and its components, everything seems to be totally ok.
Unfortunately, we are unable to connect any android device to the server when using the relay server. The Afaria Server and the Enrollment Server are installed on the same machine. Of course, the Relay Server is installed on another machine inside the DMZ.
When trying to connect the Afaria Client on a Android device, the following log entries appear on the relay server:

I cannot find any corresponding data on the Afaria Server itself. The phone just notifies me "registration failed".
Is there anything to do except than configuring the Afaria Server (Server -> Relay Server, Component -> Enrollment Server)?
Thank you!
Hi,
You need to run the outbound enabler on afaria server which will connect you relay server and afaria server.
If you had configured relay server setting in Afaria console.. Blank the setting and disable the relay server setting from console
Create outbound enabler rsoe for server and enrollment code (Portal and ca server if you are using)
or else you will required only 2 outbound enabler

Hi Chetan,
Yes, I have configured 4 Outbound enablers on Afaria Server. One for Afaria server, ios, ps and ca. All are showing successfully connected.
Relay server setting in Afaria console is blank and unchecked.
The moment I hit the enrollment code, it prompts for user details then says connected and then failed. Not able to connect to channel to sync policies. Without Relay server it works fine.
Are there any addition settings or permissions need to be set for Afaria server farm?
Please let me know. I am stuck at this point.
Can you look at my below discussion:

Thanks,
Srikanth.
if it is working properly without relay server the only difference will be the scanner.
Make sure to disable the scanner on firewall for port 80 and 443 (eg , url scanner , RDP , ) disable all scanner for port 80 and 443 on firewall.
Make sure all the ports open from relay server to device ( for public ip) is open properly 80 and 443.
Hi srikanth check the following.
1) Your relay server address should be public
2)Check if relayserver Client availability. And it should be installed according to the Afaria Documentation.
if your relaserver is installed properly check the below url
http://xxxxxx/ias_relay_server/client/rs_client.dll/afaria/aips/aipService.svc/help
it has to show some xml format data/ Text data..
3)Switch off your firewall in both the systems or create inbound, outbound rules in firewall settings.
Hello Jorn,
Is you issue resolved? I am facing similar issue.
Let me know if you have find solution for this.
Thanks,
Shrik
