Clean up SIDs, Early Watch Alert data, etc. after Client/DB Copy

Okay so we have performed a client copy of our Solution Manager system into a new system (in a new landscape). All the project data and operations data (Early watch alert, etc.) have come through as well. However, since the new Solution Manager system is in a new landscape, some of the other SAP systems the source Solution Manager system was connected to are no longer in existence. So how do we clean up those SIDs? How much of an effort is it to remove the Early Watch alert data?

Has anyone done something similar? I'm looking for guidance and recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Make sure you removed the logical component of the system from the Solution where you have activated early watch report or any other monitoring.Once you isolated your logical component, delete them first from SMSY by right click delete.Later your system by right click delete in SMSY. execute IB52, check the ibase consistency. Deleting the entire SID is quite simple, doesnt casuse any impact,

Issue comes, after the upgrade or OS/DB migration where you need to update the details of the existing system changed. In 7.1 this also become simple where SLD taken care of all , just do the changes as regular in SLD, it get auto updated in LMDB/smsy.

you can view this sap update for removing incosistency in logical component and systems
