No blog creation points in 'event' area?

I created a blog in the area 'event/sapphire-now' and received no creation points for it. Bug or feature?

There are no points awarded for content created in the events and webinar spaces.

Why is that? Blogs about events can be immensely useful and informative, especially for those of us that don't make it to the events in person. A lot of discussion about these events happens elsewhere, on Twitter and on other blog systems. I'd like to see people encouraged to put more of that content here where it is easier to find.

Also, the more people write about these events, the more likely others will be encouraged to attend them. I can see no reason not to award points for event-related blogs.

Hello all,

Just recently we decided to enable points in the Events & Webinars spaces and their subspaces. The decision was made due to popular demand by the community.

At first it was decided to not give points because it would have been difficult to define an expert in these spaces, but it is true that there are valuable contributions there and we've changed our minds, points make sense.
