Can we send attachment with the cXML PO?

PI gurus,

We use PI to send cXML Purchase Order to our vendors.

Can we send attachment with the cXML PO to our vendors at the same time?

Is there a restriction on the attachment document type?

We are using the HTTP adapter to send out the cXML PO.

If the cXML PO attachedment is word document, what is the steps to set it up?

HTTP adapter does not support attachments. You have to try other alternate options. You can try considering soap adapter with the option keep attachments checked.  Search Scn for soap scenarios with attachments.

     Unfortunately we do use HTTP adapter, so for now, we will look into alternative options.

First check with target system about what transport protocol they support. Accordingly you decide. Soap , Mail adapters can be used to send attachments along with standard message.

you send any document as attachment (pdf, word doc, Excel etc..)
