SAP MDM 7.1 SP08 unarchive issue

Dear Team,

I have installed MDM 7.1 SP08 and now am able to create the repository and connect to the server.

But am trying to unachieve the repository from other server , it says “Repository data is out of date or locked by another server, please refresh the data and try to unarchive”

Please someone through some light on it.

I tried what you said. It did not work.

After stoping the repository and unarchiving, it succeeded.

This problem occurs, when we try to unarchive a repository from an older MDM server to the newer MDM server. In your case, you might be trying to unarchive MDM 5.5/MDM 7.1 (SP1/SP2/SP3/SP4/SP5/SP6/SP7) servers' repository to MDM 7.1 SP8 server.

There might be two solutions for this, let see which will work for your problem...!!!

1. Upgrade your MDM server with latest patch.
2. If you are already using latest patch then reinstall MDM server.

Hi,

May be the issue is that archive was taken from previous SPs(SP05, SP06, SP07 etc) of MDM and you are trying to unarchive in SP08. Thank you.

Hi,

1. Take a backup of your repository

2. Update your MDM clients with the same support package to avoid conflicts, in your case SP08.
