kudos experts,
i facing some confusing issue
i want to configure SSO between poprtal and a erp system, but the connection test failes for SSO.
my epr system, and portal are in different domain will that create any problem?
i have tried all possible way for configuration but couldn't succeed
kindly advice
thanks and regards
Vivek SSO across multiple domains will not work , with standard setup .
When a user logins to portal , by default only one logon ticket gets issued ( for the domain to which SAP portal belongs ) . what you need is to make your portal issue two logon tickets one for domain of your portal and another one for domain of your erp system.
one way is to have entries in hosts file on your SAP servers and on users laptops/pc's as Vishal recommended above. This can get quiet challenging as you will have to push host entries for hundrends of users.
Please refer to this documentation it has details about configuration of SSO across multiple domains.

Hello Vivek,
I dont think different domains should create any problem if you properly maintain the host file in both the servers.
And same applies to the user which is executing this application. His PC / Laptop should able to resolve the hostname for both the servers.
Can you be more specific about the error you are facing?

Vishal
