BW Integration-Error getting hierarchies for dimension 0INFOPROV Unknown error

Guys,

I  create a BOB Universe via a BW Data Connection  and receive the above error in universe designer.

The error does not occur if you create a universe on a BW Query that reads a Multiprovider.

The error only occurs if you create a universe that reads a Multiprovider without a BW Query.

• BW 7.3 Patch 4
• Integration kit  BOXI 3.1 SP2

Hi

As you say you are using Integration Kit BOXI 3.1 SP2 I would start to test the issue on the latest version of the product that is BOE XI3.1 SP5

Server, client, Integration kit on client and server have to be all on the same patch.

What do you mean you get the error in Universe design ? What do you do exactly ?

Usually the step are:

1. Create the connection to your BEX query in your BW system in Universe Design

2. Create the universe based on that connection

3. At which point you get the error ?

Thanks for the reply .My steps are

1. Create the connection to your Multiprovider in your BW system in Universe Design

2. Create the universe based on that connection

3. Test connection -error occurs.

Please note I am not connecting to a BEX Query, I am connecting direct to a Multiprovider.

BEX Query connections work fine.
