Skills required for developing Portal

Hi,

I am new to SAP Netweaver. Sorry, if this is not the right place to post this question.

I would like to know the skill set in terms of components of SAP Netweaver 2004s that is required to build a successfull Enterprise Portal.

Hi Kamal

To develop portal application, obviously u need to be good at SAP Enterprise Portal. But it again depends, whether u r using Java Web Dynpro or .NET PDK for developing those applications. So to me, the required skill should be:

1. SAP EP.

2. Web Dynpro Java or .NET PDK

3. Some basics of Core Java, Servlets and JSP's..

Just to throw a curve ball in here - you can also use Web Dynpro for ABAP to develop portal components. Very usefull if you have existing ABAP skils.
