Extensive IBase modelling for Incident Management

Former Member

Hello!

We would like to use extensive IBase modelling for Incident Management according to sap note 1567003.

We found also short description about the procedure (see above):

If you wish to do more extensive IBase modelling, you can use the built-in functions of the CRM UI. For example, you can enable the Object/Project selection field in the CRM UI to allow access to Individual Objects (Iobjects) in the IBase. To do so, add the following field to your default incident configuration:

  • //BTREFOBJMAIN/PRODUCTID

Has some one already realized this feature?

Where can we find the appropriate documentation?

Thank you!

Hi Alex,

//BTREFOBJMAIN/PRODUCTID is the name of an available field in CRM UI.

if you decide to use different product, you have to add this field in the main screen.

if you have any doubt about how to customize the CRM_UI please let me know.

Regards,

Ignacio.

Hello Ignacio,

thank you very much for your response.

Exactly this is my question:

How to customize CRM_UI in the way to add there the field //BTREFOBJMAIN/PRODUCTID in order to allow to use different (non-SAP) product?

Many thanks for your further clarification.

Hi Alex, you can find an extensive guide about CRM UI here: www.sapdesignguild.org/resources/CRM-UI-Guidelines-Customers.pdf

but in simples steps to add this field you have to do that:

1) Enable Configuration mode (Personalize - Settings - Personalize settings)

2) Open a ticket

3) Show Configurable area (click on the first tool in the upper rigth corner)

4) Click on the "reference Object" zone

5) CLick on "Show available Fields"

6) look in BTREFOBJMAIN the field PRODUCTID

7) Click "+" (add) in the column.

Ignacio

Hello Ingacio,

many thanks, it works now. The filed "Product-ID" is now visible within Incidents.

Unfortunately when I create a new Incident no product can be selected from this field.

Question

How can I fill the list of available products for this field?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

You can Create new products in transaction COMMPR01 and assign it in IB52.

Ignacio
