Hi Experts
I learnt from one of my colleagues that LAN Account ID's can be unlocked from SAP Netweaver Portal itself
Thats remote password and account management of my LAN id using SAP Netweaver Portal
Is this possible, if so then what are the prerequisites ? (I believe this is something related with LDAP & Active Directories )
Please shed some light on this
Many Thanks
Regards
Anand Sekar

Hi Duncan
Thanks for your reply
We have not yet configured any setup in this regard
The idea is still in discussion stage and we are needing information on what are the prerequisites and procedures involved in doing this
Can you shed some light on this ?

Hi Anand Sekar,
What kind of access does your portal have to the LDAP/ADS? If the engine user that connects to LDAP has sufficient permissions it could be used to unlock users. In many scenarios the portal LDAP user only has read access in which case it is not possible to unlock users.
Best regards,
Duncan
