CRM Sales 2.0: Some attachments not getting downloaded on iPad

Hello,

I am using CRM SALES 2.0 App. I am attaching a two PDF files to a Activity in CRM Web UI.

Activity is getting properly replicated to iPad (CRM SALES 2.0 App).

On going to attachments, I could see both the PDF files.

When I click on a pdf file, it asked 'Do you want to download this file now?'. On saying 'Ok', App starts downloading the file.

I repeat the same for other file.

After sometime the one file is Downloaded successfully.

But the other one says 'Download in progress'. Even after 15 - 30 mins it says the same. Hence I am not able to see the PDF file on iPad.

I tried this scenario mulitple times creating different activities, result is the same pdf file is not downloaded. App always says  'Download in progress'.

Please help.

What is your Support Package level?

Please also check SUP package drop size value in SUP. It is described in the section 10.2 Attachment of Configuration Guide.

NetWeaver Mobile:

Hi Masa,

I'm having same problem but in this case none attachments are being downloaded. I have check the package drop size in SUP, not from configuration guide because I can't find it. Could you please share the link?

Any idea about the problem if the package drop size is way higher than the attachment?

Hi Pratik,

Were you able to solve the issue.

We are also facing the same issue on our iPAd .We have configured packet drop size as 4mb but even 1mb attachment is showing only download in progress status .

No we have not resolve the issue. We are currently in process setting up DOE, CRM Sales app again.

Did you configure ENABLE_INLINE_ATTACHMENT attribute in DOE Mobile gateway?

Yes Siva,

We have configured that.

Small attachments with 200-300kb ranges get downloaded but anything above 2mb is giving problem.

402 ICM_HTTP_TIMEOUT error appears.

We have also made value of HTTP_RESP_TOUT as 600 from 60.

I think message processing in SUP server is taking long time. Did you check the SUP logs if there is any issue?

I'm still having same problem, but in my case any attachment is getting downloaded.

Doesn't matter size, even a 1kb is not getting download.

Packet drop size is 20MB & ENABLE_INLINE_ATTACHMENT = X in DOE.

Any idea?

we are able to download the attachments which are small in size.

  • U have specified Pocket size as 20mb.... what is ur scc ram.
  • Maintain http_resp_tout parameter as 300 or 600ards,
  • ENABLE_INLINE_ATTACHMENT = X in DOE.
  • also check available memory at ur iPhone/iPad.
