Error instalation NetWeaver 7.3

Hi ... I try to install enviroment SAP NetWeaver 7.3, and the phase 3 - Primary Aplication Server Instance after choose type the RDBMS Client Oracle, show this error .

This installation is being done on:

SO: Linus Suse Enterprise Server X86_64 Bits.

Can any one help me?.

can you please paste the logs from log file shown in the error.

It might give more information on the scenario.

Hello Luz,

Do you had any SAP instance with the same SID on that server?

If yes, have you uninstalled it using sapinst ?

If we don't take care of this, I've seen very weird errors like yours while installation.

Hi,

Are you downloading the correct oracle client? Are u using oracle client 10g V5?

Perhaps you can try to adapt the sapinst with 11g client -

Note 1689026 - Installation of NW 7.0x Systems with Oracle Client 11.2.0x

But a have en new problem.

When the instalation is on the way, in phase 10 - Install Java Engine I gotten this error:

An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.3 > SAP Systems > Application Server Java > Distributed System > Primary Application Server Instance( Last error reported by the step: Process call '/usr/sap/BOQ/J00/exe/jstart pf=/usr/sap/BOQ/SYS/profile/BOQ_J00_columba -file=/usr/sap/BOQ/J00/exe/startup.properties -nodename=bootstrap -launch' exits with error code 1. For details see log file(s) jstart_bootstrap_J00.log.).

Hi Luz,

Check if required swap memory is allocated before installations is started.

SAP recommends swap area should be 4 times the RAM.

you need to paste more log for us to know the culprit..

agree with Pradeep, do check is there any memory bottleneck. What you can do is manually stop and start the BOQ server. If started successfully, you may continue with the sapinst. Else, please post the relevant logs in /usr/sap/BOQ/J00/work/
