Messgaes processed in IE and AE are not equal.

Dear Experts,

We are facing problem with messages that are in IE and AE.

Observed that messgaes processed in IE (sxmb_moni) and Adapter Engine are not equal. 375 msgs were processed from source system and all the msgs were found in Sxmb_Moni.

Target system(Oracle) team confirmed only 302 records were inserted. When we checked in AE we observed 73 msgs were not found.

No messgaes were stucked up in Queues and no messgaes were in error status. Unable to identify the issue after my analysis and posting here to get your valuable suggestions.

Could you please let me know the  reason for this and what would be the soultion for this issue.

Thanks and reagrds,

Soumya Akula.

Few cents.. we miss some details on your question

Is your sender system SAP and receiver is JDBC adapter (oracle) and looks like asynchronus interface?

Are you seeing SXMB_MONI (all the 375) messages successfully processed

>Target system(Oracle) team confirmed only 302 records were inserted. When we checked in AE we observed 73 msgs were not found

If you see total messages 375 but some are errors then it makes sense that Adapter engine failed to deliver to target system. SO you need to check in RWB  adapter engine overview message display.

If you see total messages 375 successfully processed in SXMB_MONI then that means the receiver adapter successfully deliverered to the target system and not problem in PI.  The target system lost your message. This case you will see 375 messages successful both in  IE and AE.

This sentence not true every time, there is a possiblity that messages were got strucked at receiver adapter level.

Moni status only gaurantees that message delivered to Receiver adapter or not..

Yes, I agree your statement Raja. Since in this case, no messages in error and stucked up in queues, do you still think there is possibility that message might be hiding at receiver adapter level and that could cause the discrepancies between IE and AE message count?

What type of Intyerface it is?

1)Check now of successfull messages in Runtime work bench--Message monitoring--->Adapter engine(overview) disply.

This gives count like number of messages delivered  successfully to Target system.

2)If the count of message in step1 is correct then messages were lost in Target side.

Regards,

Raj

You don't need AE (adapter engine) for idoc, proxy and http sender scenarios. You will not see messages in AE for those scenarios. Please check your interface.
