Former Member

I am trying to edit the default profile in RZ10.

By choosing (default) Profile > Dyn. switching>Display parameters.

But I get an error message saying: "Switching possible for only one instance profile."

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong.

Thanks,

Hi,

you can do this only for instance profile not for default profile

Dear Samrat,

What is the procedure.

Do I have to create an instance profile first, copy the default profile, then edit to my specs and save it?

I am trying to Change PXA sizing for an r2r build.

I can't find a guide that shows me the procedure of editing a profile.

Thanks,

Karim,

Are you trying to edit/add vaues in instance profile??

if yes, RZ10 --> select Instance profile --> choose Extended Maintanance --> Change , if you want to edit , find the parameter and click on change and enter the new value. If you want to add new parameter , click on Prameter ( on menu ) and add. Then click on Copy and save then activate

Thanks

What instance profile?

Do I have to create one?

The only available profile is the default profile.

So you are not seeing any profiles other than DEFAULT.PFL in RZ10 . THen go to Utilities --> Import profiles --> active servers ( in RZ10 )

WHy you wanna change the parameter and which one you are going to change? For you post I guess you are intrested in changing PXA ( Program ) buffer , if you are looking ST02 and the swaps , 10.000 swaps/day is acceptable for program buffer

Thanks

Hi

RZ10 --> select Instance profile --> choose Extended Maintanance radio button

--> Click on Change , if you want to edit , find the parameter ( click on find button on menu enter the parameter eg:abap/buffersize) and click on change and enter the new value. If you didnt find the parameter you need to add, click on Prameter ( on menu ) and add the parameter and the value. Then click on Copy and save then activate

Prince,

Thanks, I was able to add the parameters save and activate them.

But I get a message: For the profile to take effect I have to restart the application server.

Does this mean rebooting the server?

Thanks,
