Dear Sap,
We have a scenario in which we accept the partly lot in ok condition with GRADE A & partly accepted after notification & defect recording But not that material is not rejected.that material to accepted under deviation with GRADE B.So we want to keep that material separately of same lot,so how it possible.Eg.
The lot is created for 100 bags.In which 50 bag r ok & accepted with grade A.then send to unresticted area.
Next 50 bag also accepted but under deviation with Grade B,then r send to unrestricted area after Defect & notification.so how we identify the material.
Best Regards,

Hi..
what i think is after Inspection, you come to know what are the grades of that material, and those can be GRADE A and GRADE B.
you can post it to New material while Stock posting.
New material will be either GRADE A or GRADE B.

Dear Amol,
What you say is right after inspection we come to know the quality of the product, on that basic we give Grade to our product. But how it possible for same lot we partly give Grade A & partly give Grade B.How can we so this scenario.Explain.Means if 100 bags are checked then 50 bag Grade A & 50 Bags Grade B.How to do posting for such condition.
RegardsAsif
Hi Asif,
Suppose your material code is BAGS001. and after inspection you need to post it to material GRADEA and GRADEB.
While stock posting, option will be available to Post in "New Material" (below "blocked Stock").
Enter 50 Qty into "New Material" and select material GRADEA and Save,
Again do the same procedure for GRADEB.
You can activate inspection for 309 movment and get Inspection Lot.
Asif -
You HAVE to use a different material number. One material number for Grade A and one material number for Grade B. Since you are NOT batch managed, there is NO way to track different grades of material in inventory. Tracking by material movements as suggested does absolutely nothing to understand your inventory levels of grade A and grade B.
If you where batch manged, you could post the grade B to a new batch number and assigned a characteristic called GRADE where you would specify what grade each batch is. But you aren't batch managing this material so you can't do that.

Actually, I did think of another possibility. It would depend on how you are using Storage Locations. If you use storage locations in a farily generic manner, such as saying storage location 0010 is the general warehouse, you COULD use storage locations to identify grade A and grade B. Set it up so that storage location 0010 and 0020 both represent the general warehouse. Post grade A material to storage location 0010 and grade B to storage location 0020.

Hi Asif
Try this out.
If material is batch managed then make two batches(say Grade A and Grade B) of that material.
After doing the GR a lot of some quanity say 100 wii be generated. Then go to stock posting tab of that lot and put the Qty against New mateial row say 40 and click on matrial button against it and put mateial code same and batch say Grade A. do the same for GRade B
In this case you have to do the stock posting two time for Grade A and Grade B saprately.

I am not sure what exactly Grade A or B as this is not std terms in SAP but you can pratially post the Qty in block stock and then move from block stock to unrestricted after analysis done with grade B material.
