Hi All
We want to install SCM Ehp2
One of its requirements is to update LC from 7.7.07.37 to version:
lca1000007_livecache-linux-64bit-x86_64-7_9_08_02
Unfortunately only Redhat 6 is supported now according to PAM.
So is it possible to perform upgrade still on RH 5.7 ?
We tried on sandbox but there is an error during this process ...
Strange that MaxDB 7.8 is supported on RH 4,5 and 6 and next version only on 6 ...
Regards
Marcin
update: what about those slides :
you have support for 7.9 on RHEL 5 there .......
Hello,
it's not question for the forum.
1. please create the SAP message if something left unclear with SAP PAM or LCA/liveCache available releases for your platform.
2. You could check "Matrix of released LCA builds for SAP SCM 7.0 EhP2" and
Check SAP note 916649 for Linux X64 system requirements.

Hi Natalia
In PAM RHEL 5 is not supported for Live Cache 7.9 but we succesfully updated it to version 7.9.07.09
as suggested for RHEL 6 in note 916649.
CM 7.0 EhP2 : SAP LC/LCAPPS 10.0 SP04, liveCache 7.9.07.09
Looks like everything is OK, but of course this combination is not formally supported by SAP.
Only one question : will SAP certify LiveCache 7.9 on RHEL 5 in predictible future ?
We've got little problem with upgrading our cluster environment to RHEL 6 - this version is still not supported by our hardware vendor
So in that case we have to remove LC from cluste environment and put it on seperate machine with RHEL 6 - we hardle want to avoid it.
Regards
Marcin
Hello Marcin,
1. As I already informed you, that the SAP note 916649 has the answer on your question.
http://scn.sap.com/community/scm/apo/livecache
->"Matrix of Internal released OS platforms for SAP liveCache Technology 7.9."
2. " problem with upgrading our cluster environment to RHEL 6 - this version is still not supported by our hardware vendor"
This topic could be discussed in SAP message to find you workaround HA solution & check
with Linux experts on "problem with upgrading our cluster environment to RHEL 6".
