Hi,
We are planning to have programs created which will generate mails (approx 30,000/day twice a week) in our ECC6.0 system. Need to know what resource requirement we need to consider for this load. Request your guidence.
Thanks
I cannot see any need for additional resources required for this. Basically the mails will be triggered by the SAP connect job running on the background (it might be a very long running job) so make sure that the job wont be interrupted. You could also talk to your developers so they can schedule the mails to go out in batches with a time difference in between them. Also been such a large volume make sure your mail team is aware in case they need to "tweak" their side.
Regards, Juan

- don't send to many mails, don't send unnecessary mails (but if you need to send 30'000 then do it)
- don't include too much fancy attachments, signatures
Maybe it is possible to send ONE email to 30'000 recipients, or at least package a few groups together. This will largely decrease the overhead in the SAP system and your email infrastructure (if you send these emails to external receivers).
Also make sure you are not blocked by any "intelligent" mail filters. These can identify you as a spammer when you send more than a handful at once.
Cheers Michael
