FI-CA VAT on security deposit FPSEC1

Hi

We shall add VAT on a security deposit in transaction FPSEC1

I have customised the system but get this message:

"

Account 36200 2000 defined for tax postings only

Message no. >0123

Diagnosis

You attempted to post to a G/L account to which only tax postings are
permitted.

"

I don not understand this error, as I want to post VAT on GL 36200.

What is the solution

hi dear proben ...

i think it's seems to be some selection option's missing  in gl account just check these areas and then try in 36200 account..

in control data data tab check Tax category field and also check create/bank/interest tab post automatically check box..

The settings is:

Tax category:    > Output tax account

Post automatically only:     blank

that should be OK

i need some information regarding u r configuration..

account 36200 which account(name)

for security deposit which gl u were assigned

have u maintained both r different r same

if u r assigned same 0020 (is 36200 a/c) gl to the tax account it leads problem

for tax effects which gl r assigned

Thanks a lot - that solved the error.

I had, in posting area 0020 Tax Clearing down payments, added our tax account in the field  "Offset tax acc"

Now I changed to a NON tax account and tehn i works
