Migration of Ruleset from CC 4.0 to GRC 10.0

Hi All,

My client is planning for an upgrade from CC4.0 to GRC 10.0. I have gone through the migration guide but have a question as to how to migrate or upgrade the ruleset from CC4.0 to GRC 10.0. Could you please share your expertise thoughts on this..

Is there any document for the ruleset miggration details..If any please share which will be of great help.

Hi Rashmi,

Migration guide has all the steps required to migrate. To migrate from CC4.0 to GRC 10 is actually very simple, export ruleset data from backed using transaction /GRCPI/AC_EXPORT and them import using t-code GRAC_DATA_MIGRATION. Before you import you need to take care that organization elements are created as given in the Migration guide.

Other way is to just export the Ruleset Tables, transform in to GRC 10 upload format and upload.

Question - Is says to run /GRCPI/AC_EXPORT on the backend system.  This is the GRC 10 server?  And then create an RFC to the instance with FF installed?

Yes, Michael. /GRCPI/AC_EXPORT needs to be run on your backend system where you have GRC 10.0 plugin installed on top of 4.0.

Refer to the statement written in migration guide.
