Defaulting Characteristics in Item Line of Sales order

hi all,

Need urgent help.

I need to default Characteristics at line item of a Sales Order from Characteristics of SOLD to Party whenever a new Item Line is added.

I know how to get the Characteristics values from SOLD To PARTY.

However, i am stuck on how to update the Item line with default value through code enhancement.

This is to avoid manual entry for each Item Line with default Characteristics values from SOLD To PARTY.

Hi,

As per my observation, the Owner of the observation changes to VBPS from MARC as soon as the Chrateristics are chaged manually in VA01 for an Item Line.

I tried to change the OCnfiguration using the FM

CUCB_SET_CONFIGURATION and

CUCB_CHANGE_CONFIGURATION

However, this does not change the configuration, and everytime the Configuration is copied from Material which overwites the changes done previously.
