Blank error for Dashboards 4.0

Hi Everyone,

I am getting a blank error message when I try to connect Dashboards with BW. Can anyone help me out with the error. Please look at the attachment for the screen shot. I am trying to connect to BW 701 Patch 3. Is there a work around for this other than upgrading the patch level? Or is this not related to patch at all. I appreciate your help.

Hi,

You can check the following:

1) SAP GUI is of version 7.x with BI Add Ons.

2) Dashboards requires ABAP+Java BW. Does your BW have Java engine. Is SSO configured between abap and java.

If still it doesn't connect then you have to have atleast SP 5 for Dashboards to work.

Thank you for your reply, is there any other alternative or a work around for this other than using SP5. I want to use Dashboards with the current version BW 701 Patch 3.Please let me know.

Hi Nag,

Like I mentioned please check the sso connection between your abap and java.

In case all the above mentioned steps do not solve your issue, I do not know of any work around.

You may have to upgrade your SP level.

Thank you Sonia. I think I found a work around, where you can use QAAWS to create a query and use Live office to get that data in to Dashboard Design.
