The function module "BBP_RFC_READ_TABLE" was called, but cannot be found in the Function Library.

Hello All,

  Recently we have upgraded the SRM system from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0. Immediately  after  we are receiving below dump in R/3(4.6 c) system.

CALL_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND -The function module "BBP_RFC_READ_TABLE" was called, but cannot be found in the Function Library.

The current ABAP/4 program "SAPMSSY1 " had to be terminated because one of the statements could not be executed.This is probably due to an error in the ABAP/4 program.

I cross checked the FM in the system ,but FM doesn't exits  in R/3(4.6 c) system.

Can any one please let me know what the issue is all about ,it is generating 8000 odd dumps in R/3 system. What is the purpose of this FM?

Hello,

Note 1175255 should be applied in all ECC systems that you have in your landscape.
BBP_RFC_READ_TABLE is called whenever SRM is going to read any related table content in core system (ECC system, in this case).

As example, you can check table BBP_FUNCTION_MAP in SRM. Function modules as for example B40B_READ_TABLE are entered to read table contents from ECC. This function module calls BBP_RFC_READ_TABLE in the backend.
